Abstract
Signal perception through cell-surface receptors is a common feature among living organisms. In plants, several different types of cell-surface receptors, such as receptor-like protein (RLP), receptor-like kinases(RLK) and receptor-like cytoplasmic kinase (RLCK), perceive and/or transduction diverse signals and stimuli from the environment. The plant receptor kinase BAK1/SERK3 has been identified as a partner of ligand-binding leucine-rich repeat receptor kinases, in particular the brassinosteroid receptor BRI1. BAK1 was also identified as an important regulator of pathogen-associated-molecular-pattern (PAMP)-triggered immunity (PTI) and involved in cell death. In the pathosystems of Xanthomonas-rice, transgenic rice 9804- ZmRxo1 and 9804 were inoculated with X. oryzae pv. oryzicola RS105, and three genes of OsBAK1 in the resistence parent 9804- ZmRxo1, omologous genes of AtBAK1, were upregulated. We used one of the OsBAK1 as bait to screen the cDNA library, and found six candidated prey proteins. Through conserved domains homolog structure alignment, one of the prey proteins has a SelR domain, which possibly involves in the process of methionine sulfoxide reduction and in the process of ROS.
